Zones in Prestartr
Zones can be created from the People or Plant modules in Prestartr.
Parts of a Zone
Zones consist of three parts:
- Name of the Zone
- List of Managers
- List of Members
In a Zone, Users can be either a Manager, or a Member.
Users can be in multiple Zones.
When creating Forms, creating Defects, and Jobs, selecting the relevant Zone controls who can see what is being created or who is capable of approving forms.
Example Zones
Function: Maintenance
A Function Zone might be used as a grouping of similar functioning workers or a specific team of workers.
Area: Eastern Suburbs
An Area Zone might be focused around workers or plants and assets within a specific geographic location.
Project: Abbotsford Construction
A Project Zone might be focused on the management or day-to-day functions of a specific worksite or project.
Using Zones
Zones on Forms
When creating a Form, the Zone selection will prefill to the relevant Zone of the selected User.
If the User is against multiple Zone, click the Zone drop-down to select the correct Zone.
A User Zone is required when creating a Form.
Zones on Defects
When creating a Defect, the Zone is selectable next to the Defect Type.
A Zone is optional when creating a Defect.
Zones on Jobs
When creating a Job, the Zone is selectable under the General section at the top.
