How to use the Forms Dashboard.

Forms Dashboard is where users to manage, create, edit, and organize forms efficiently.

The Forms Dashboard Explained

There are four major areas of the dashboard:

  1. Sidebar Navigation- this is where Groups and Form Options are located.
  2. Header- this is where you can Import and Add New form.
  3. Search and Filter - This is where you can Search and Filter the visible forms.
  4. Form list - this is where your created forms are displayed.

Sidebar

 

All Forms

Displays all available forms within the system.

 

Forms Options

Additional settings and configurations for form management. 

This is covered in the section below - Form Options.

 

Favourites

Quick access to frequently used forms or templates.

 


 

Prestartr Support Tip:

If you have a lot of different types of forms, leverage Groups to get easy to navigate tabs at the top of the Form Dashboard.

 

 
 

List

Forms List

The Forms list will display all forms that have been created both past and present. The columns of the forms list is changeable - if your forms list doesn't look the same as the example, check the Column Selector.

Sorting of the columns is done by clicking on the arrow next to the column name.
This will alternate between sorting Ascending and Descending sorts.

 
 

Top Navigation

  • Import / Export
    • Upload or download forms for external use.

      Contact Prestartr Support for assistance with importing Form Templates.
  • New Form
    • Create a new form from scratch.
  • Favorite
    • Mark a form as a favorite for easy access.
  • Column Selector
    • Sort and select which columns are visible.
 
 

Search & Filters

Search Bar

Find specific forms by name or keyword.

Filter

Refine results based on criteria (e.g., status, creator).

 
 

Form Options

The Form Options area lets you tweak how forms work and look when exporting to PDF or setting up your dashboard. 
There are two key sections: PDF Export and Dashboard Configuration.

PDF Export

The PDF Export section is where customization of the appearance and branding of exported PDF forms happens.
These settings help ensure that exported PDFs align with company branding and readability standards.

You can edit and configure the following areas of exported PDFs:

  1. Logo
  2. Header/Footer Divider Colour
  3. Table Colours
  4. Table Header Text Colour
  5. Table Body Label Background Colour
  6. Table Body Label Text Colour
  7. Table Border Colour
  8. Table Border Width
  9. Show Form Name in Header
 
 

Dashboard Configuration

The Dashboard Configuration section lets you control what forms and modules appear on your dashboard in Field. By setting up your dashboard properly, you’ll have quick access to the forms and modules that matter most to your work.

 
 

Exporting Forms

Import/Export

The instructions for exporting a Report or Register are available in the tabs next to these instruction.

Please contact Prestartr Support for assistance with importing individual forms or form templates.

 
 
 

Report

The Export as Report functionality will produce an XLXS file of the visible forms on the dashboard.

The resulting file with have a workbook tab per Form Template.
Each workbook will display the following:

  • Name
  • Date Created
  • Status
  • Form Group
  • Created By 
  • Linked Table
  • Linked To
  • Zone

After this standard data it will then list the individual fields per the Form Template

 
 

Register

Before exporting a Form Register, ensure you have setup the Form Template Register.
See Manage a Form Template Register for more details.

To export a Register of a specific form template do the following:

  1. Select the Form Template
  2. Set the Start and End dates
  3. Select the related entity - Job, Timesheet, Invoice etc
  4. Click either Export as PDF or Export as Excel
 
 

Bulk Processing Forms

Using this feature, you can move Forms in batches from one status to the next.

Currently, it supports moving forms from Draft up to Approved.


How to Process Forms

From the Forms List, click on a Favorite Form on the sidebar.

From the Favorite Form Dashboard click into one of the Status Tabs at the top of the screen. You can process forms under Draft, Submitted, and Approved.

Check the box next to the Form you wish to process.

Click the Bulk Process button in the upper right corner.


Process Summary

 

Once you have begun your form processing, it will present a Summary result screen. This will details the number of successful forms that were processed, as well as the number of form that failed to be processed.

Underneath the summary tiles, it will display the specific forms that failed to be processed as well as the error message for why it failed.
