Before we get started…

There are a few things to consider before you start adding Subforms to a Form Template.
- Do you need to add subforms while filling out the intial form?
(Add Subform Field) - Do you need to add subforms after filling out the form or need multiple options?
(Form Template Tabs)
Consider the points above while going through the guide below.
There will be callouts for these specific questions.
Before you follow the guide, ensure you have created a Form Template.
Form Template Tabs
On a Form that has Form Template Tabs setup, you will see the tabs to the right of the Info and Details tab. Each Template Tab will also display the number of Subforms that have been created in that tab

When viewing a Template Tab, you will have the option to Add the linked Subform - the example above would add a Labour Subform.
Click the three vertical dots at the end of each subform to view the Form Options, which include Editing, Deleting, and Duplicating the form.
Setting up Template Tabs

From a Form Template, click the Tabs section to view the Tabs panel.
To add a new Tab to the form template, click the Add icon in the upper right corner - this will open the new tab window.

Update the Name field to reflect what you want displayed on the Tab.
Select the appropriate Form Template from the drop-down.
Click the Save icon to add your tab to the Form template.
After adding the Tab, it is now time to add the displayed Columns for the forms added to that tab.
Each line on the Tab panel has two Edit pencil icons - the one to the left of the Linked Form Template will allow you to add specific columns to your new tab.

Click the first Edit pencil to access the Tab Column screen.
From this screen click the Add icon in the upper right to add new columns to this tab.
Give the column a Name, and select the field that it will represent from the Field Metadata drop-down.
Once you have set up the column as desired, click the Save icon to confirm this column for your Form Tab.
Repeat this process as needed.
Button Field - Create Subform

On a Form that has Create Subform button fields setup, you will see the button within the contents of the form.
Clicking the button will take you to linked subform template. From here, you can complete the subform as needed.

You can navigate back to the initial form by either clicking the Breadcrumb to the left of the current form or by clicking the Linked To field in the Details tab.

Button and QR Codes
Button Fields are advanced elements of a Form Template. Contact Prestartr Support for assistance using a Button Field.
There are two QR Code button fields: Job and External Form.
A QR Code Job field is used for scanning in and out of a Job.
QR Code Job
When setting up this button field, it is required to set up two other fields first:
- Job Combo Box Field
- Date Time Field
When adding the QR Code Job field after, it will link automatically to the Job and Date Time Fields.
A QR Code External Form field is used to give access to 3rd parties, such as contractors, to your Prestartr form.
Setting up the External Form field requires you enable Sharing on the form template.
