Using the Plant Dashboard to add, edit, and delete Plant

The Plant Dashboard is where you can view all current Plant in Prestartr. 

From the dashboard you can import or export Plant records, create new Plant, as well as quickly edit or delete any Plant as needed.

The Plant Dashboard Explained

There are three major areas of the dashboard:

  1. Sidebar Navigation- this is where Groups, Zones, Options, and the Expiry Matrix and Service Register are located.
  2. Header- this is where you can Import or Export plant and the New Plant button is located.
  3. Plant list - this is where your created Plants are displayed.

Need to allocate Plant to a Job?

To allocate Plant to a Job - click on the Plant you wish to allocate, in the Plant Dashboard. From the Plant details tab, click Allocate To in the upper right corner. 

This will open the allocation menu.

Complete the details and click Save

 
 
 
 

Sidebar Navigation

 

 

All Plant

Displays all available Plant within the system.

Plant Groups

Organise your Plant using the Groups settings.

Plant Zones

Assign Plant to specific Zones.

Plant Options

Additional settings and configurations for Plant management. This is covered in the section below - Plant Options.

Expiry Matrix

A user-configurable list of date fields for tracking service and expiry dates.

Service Register

Plant and Equipment tracking for Work Order and Service Records.


Prestartr Support Tip:

If you have a lot of different types of Plants, leverage Groups to get easy to navigate tabs at the top of the Plant Dashboard.

 

 
 

Plant List

Plants List

The Plant list will display all  plant that have been created.

The columns of the forms list is changeable - if your plant list doesn't look the same as the example, check the Column Selector in the upper right corner of the header. 

 

 

Sorting of the columns is done by clicking on the arrow next to the column name. This will alternate between sorting Ascending and Descending sorts.

 
 

Top Navigation Items

Import / Export

Upload or download Plant for external use or integration. You will have the following options:

  • Export as Report
  • Export as Backup
  • Export Plant Allocation History
  • Import Plant
  • Import Plant Utilisation
  • Import Plant Service
  • Import Plant Expenses

 

Import Samples

The Import/Export menu lists Sample Files for each Import and Export Option.
Use the Sample Files to facilitate bulk importing Plant and Plant Information.

 

Contact Prestartr Support for assistance with importing via Sample files as needed.

New Plant

Create a new Plant from scratch. See Add a New Plant for more details.

Favorite Manager

Switch between different views with different columns and ordering.

Column Selector

Sort and select which columns are visible. This is where you can save a view and then access it via the Manager.

 
 

Plant Group

 

 

 

Plant Groups are the categorization or sorting of your equipment, vehicles, and plant into similar groups.

 

A common group scheme is by use or function, such as Excavation, Transport, Drilling etc.

 

Groups can be further refined by using Parent and Child Groups.

Create a New Plant Group

When creating a new Plant group, it requires the following information:

  • Group name: The name of the group. 
  • Group unit type: How the grouped plant are measured for service, by Hours of Operation (HRs) or Distance (KM)
  • Parent plant group: If a Plant Group is selected here, the newly created Group will become a Child of the Parent group.
  • Prestart template: Which Prestart Form Template is associated with Plant within this Plant Group.
  • Mandatory Qualifications: Which Qualifications are required for operators of plant within this Group.

Edit a Plant Group

Click the Pencil icon next to a Plant Group to open the edit menu for that Plant Group.


All Plant

The All Plant section of Plant Groups displays a vertical list of all current Plant Groups.

If a Plant Group has a Child Group attached, it will be displayed in the Name column in the following format:

  • Parent Group > Child Group > Sub Child Group

Editing and deletion of these groups is available from the Actions column.


View by Hierarchy

The View by Hierarchy section of Plant Groups displays a collapsed list of all current Plant Groups in your Prestartr.

If a Plant Group has a Child Group attached, it will display an Expand arrow to the left of it's name. Click this arrow to display the attached Child Groups.

Editing and deletion of these groups is available from the Actions column.


Plant Zones

Plant Zones are used to assign Plant to specific zones, as well as limit the displayed options when interaction with zone specific forms like Prestarts.

When creating a new Plant Zone, it requires a Zone Name and that you select the relevant plant from your Plant list.

Click Save Plant Zone to confirm updates and changes.


Plant Options

Plant Statuses

The Plant Options area lets you tweak the statuses of a Plant - adding, editing, and sorting them however you'd like.


Plant QR Code

The Plant QR Code Field is where you can select which information field is used when generating a Plant QR Code via Prestartr.


 

Expiry Matrix

The Expiry Matrix is an interactable and user configurable, dashboard of Plant expiry areas that you have configured.

The dashboard for the Expiry Matrix displays all Overdue items, as well as items that will expire in the next 30, 60, and 90 Days.

The available fields you can select and sort by include:

  • Build Date
  • Warranty Date
  • Registration Expiry
  • Risk Assessment Expiry
  • Purchased Date
  • Sold Date
  • Last Electrical Test Date
  • Electrical Retest Date
  • Last Lifting Test Date
  • Next Lifting Certification Date
  • Last Calibration Date
  • Next Calibration Date
  • Load Scales Calibration Date
  • First Aid Kit Expiry
  • Fire Extinguisher Expiry

Expiry List

The Expiry List is an ascending ordered list of Plants with overdue or upcoming expiry dates.


Configuration

 

 

Setting up the Expiry Matrix from the Configuration tab is where the visible column on the Expiry Matrix dashboard as well as populate the Expiry List items.

 

To add new columns, click the New Row button.

 

Enter details under the Name field and select from the available options in the Field column. 

 

Click Save to confirm your changes.

Service Register

The Service Register is where Plant is monitored for service or opening new Work Orders for their ongoing service.
