How navigate the People Dashboard and manage People records

The People Dashboard is where you can view all current People in Prestartr. 

From the dashboard you can import or export People records, create new People, as well as quickly edit or delete any People as needed.

The People Dashboard Explained

There are three major areas of the dashboard:

  1. Sidebar Navigation- this is where Groups, Zones, Training Matrix,and Archive List are located.
  2. Header- this is where you can Import or Export People and the New People button is located.
  3. People list - this is where your created People are displayed.

Sidebar Navigation

 

 

All People

Displays all available People within the system.

People Groups

Organise your People using the Groups settings.

People Zones

Assign People to specific Zones.

Training Matrix

A user-configurable list of date fields for tracking service and expiry dates.

Archive List

List of archived People, where you can see basic info or restore them to the All People list.


Prestartr Support Tip:

If you have a lot of different types of Peoples, leverage Groups to get easy to navigate tabs at the top of the People Dashboard.

 

 
 

People List

Peoples List

The People list will display all  People that have been created. 

The columns of the forms list is changeable - if your People list doesn't look the same as the example, check the Column Selector in the upper right corner of the header. 

 

 

Sorting of the columns is done by clicking on the arrow next to the column name. This will alternate between sorting Ascending and Descending sorts.

 
 

Top Navigation Items

Import / Export

Upload or download People for external use or integration. You will have the following options:

  • Export as Report
  • Export as Backup
  • Export as Sample
  • Import 

Import Samples

The Import/Export menu lists a Sample File.
Use the Sample File to facilitate bulk importing People and People Information.

 

Contact Prestartr Support for assistance with importing via Sample files as needed.

New People

Create a new People from scratch. See Add New People for more details.

Favorite Manager

Switch between different views with different columns and ordering.

Column Selector

Sort and select which columns are visible. This is where you can save a view and then access it via the Manager.

 
 

People Group

 

 

 

People Groups are the categorization or sorting of your People into similar groups.

 

A common group scheme is by role or function, such as Operators, Employee, Subcontractor etc.

 

Groups can be further refined by using Parent and Child Groups.

Create a New People Group

When creating a new People group, it requires the following information:

  • Group name: The name of the group. 
  • Parent People group: If a People Group is selected here, the newly created Group will become a Child of the Parent group.

All People

The All People section of People Groups displays a vertical list of all current People Groups.

If a People Group has a Child Group attached, it will be displayed in the Name column in the following format:

  • Parent Group > Child Group > Sub Child Group

Editing and deletion of these groups is available from the Actions column.

View by Hierarchy

The View by Hierarchy section of Plant Groups displays a collapsed list of all current People Groups in your Prestartr.

If a People Group has a Child Group attached, it will display an Expand arrow to the left of it's name. Click this arrow to display the attached Child Groups.

Editing and deletion of these groups is available from the Actions column.


People Zones

People Zones are used to assign People to specific zones, as well as limit the displayed options when interaction with zone specific forms like Prestarts.

When creating a new People Zone, it requires a Zone Name and that you select the relevant People from your People list.

Once you have added People to the Zone, you can also nominate Managers from that list of People.

Click Save People Zone to confirm updates and changes.


Training Matrix

The Training Matrix is an interactable and user configurable, dashboard of People expiry areas that you have configured.

Archive List

 

The Archive List is where archived People are maintained. The list will display the Name, Email, and Mobile of the Person.

Archive People

To Archive a Person, click the Archive icon.

Type the word ARCHIVE.

Click Confirm to complete the request.


Restore Archived People

To move them to the active list of People, click the Restore Person icon.

This will move them from Archive and back in the People dashboard.
